Source and limits
Ludlow - Quality Square by ijenko, CC BY 4.0. The creator reports a 7-minute XGRIDS LixelKityK1 scan at chest, low and high levels. This is a handheld reconstruction, not an aerial mesh or generated scene.
The scan is 51.7 MB, with 4555055 Gaussians and no spherical harmonics. It loads unchanged from the creator’s sample CDN. A local, lossless archive is kept for provenance. Source and archive checksum.
Camera motion is continuous, but capture coverage is not. Expect holes, floaters and soft detail off the scanned path. You can pass through walls or leave the scene. Walk only locks height; it does not follow terrain or detect collisions. Scene scale is not surveyed.
Spark 2.3.1 and Three.js 0.180.0 (MIT) render the splats with a browser-built level of detail. Detail changes the splat budget and pixel ratio. FPS measures this tab’s render loop, not a fair cross-engine benchmark. WebGL 2, WebAssembly and WebP are required; phones with low memory may fail. No account or cloud training is needed. Loading the scan contacts the creator’s public CDN; network access is required.
